Almost 80 per cent of the works on the comprehensive development corridor from Nalgonda ‘X’ Roads via Saidabad and IS Sadan to Owaisi Junction were completed and the corridor is expected to be operational by April 2026.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Commissioner R V Karnan on Tuesday reviewed the progress of works on the corridor, which is being developed as a conflict-free corridor to ease traffic congestion in
south Hyderabad.
The project comprises a 2,530-metre-long main flyover, being executed at an estimated cost of Rs 620 crore under the EPC/turnkey mode.
Officials informed the Commissioner that nearly 80 per cent of the works have been completed. During the field-level inspection, Karnan instructed engineers and contractors to expedite the remaining works and ensure that the corridor is made operational by April.
