Ganja peddler held after attacking cop during vehicle check in Jagtial

In true filmi style, police chased a ganja peddler who tried to escape after attacking a policeman engaged in vehicle checking and nabbed him in Korutla town on Friday night.

Based on information about gang smuggling ganja, police began checking vehicles on Vemulawada road and found one Md Yaseen moving suspiciously on a motorcycle. The police found ganja



weighing nearly 50 grammes on him. He told policemen that he was taking ganja from Nizamabad to Korutla.

While the police were talking to him after seizing the ganja, Yaseen reportedly attacked constable Pravan and sped away on his motorcycle. The police team began chasinghim and closed in on him sometime later. The arrested man was stated to be a resident of Korutla.
