Ganesh idol immersion preparations in full swing in Hyderabad

With just three days remaining for the main Ganesh idol immersion procession scheduled on September 6, barricading of roads and street illumination works are proceeding at a brisk pace in the city.

GHMC officials on Wednesday said the main centralised procession will commence after the Balapur Ganesh laddu auction. Once the Balapur Ganesh idol procession starts, other idols will simultaneously begin their procession from



their pandals and join the main procession at key points such as Charminar and MJ Market. The procession will then proceed to Hussain Sagar where the idols will be immersed.

GHMC Commissioner RV Karnan on Wednesday visited Balapur Ganesh and inspected the arrangements from there till the GHMC Office at Tank Bund.

The civic body is continuing its road safety drive to repair potholes and damaged roads.
