BRS working president KT Rama Rao said on Sunday that the much-hyped “Future City” project had no future. Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s ambition to turn the Hyderabad Pharma City lands into a real estate venture for the benefit of his family and friends would not be fulfilled.
In a statement, Rama Rao condemned the scrapping of the 20,000-acre Pharma City project, spread across 56
villages, initiated by the K Chandrashekhar Rao government. Farmers had voluntarily parted with their land for the State’s industrial growth, but were now being cheated.
“The Congress promised to return every acre to farmers. Instead, it is eyeing these lands for real estate under the guise of ‘Future City’,” he said, expressing concern over fate of the lands allocated to pharma companies.
