The funeral of Ozair Kadir, a resident of Dar-ul-Shifa, Noor Khan Bazar in Hyderabad who was killed in the Christchurch terror attack, was held in the city on Sunday. The body was brought from New Zealand on Saturday night.

The general administration (NRI department) made arrangements at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport to receive the body and hand it over to the family at their residence in Dar-ul-shifa. Ozair was a student at International Aviation Academy of New Zealand, and was studying to become a pilot like his elder brother.

He was one of the 50 victims in the March 15 terror attacks on two mosques Christchurch. State home minister, Mahmood Ali, attended the namaz-e-janaza for Ozair at Darul-Shifa masjid.
