Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar said that electricity would be provided free of cost to Ganesh pandals within Karimnagar corporation limits. 

He said the Karimnagar Municipal Corporation would bear the electricity bills. 

According to reports, nearly 2,000 Ganesh pandals are set up in Karimnagar every year. Bandi Sanjay said he had personally paid the electricity bills



for Ganesh pandals for the past three years.

He said the municipal corporation had now decided to take responsibility for the electricity bills. Bandi Sanjay said that youth should set up new Ganesh pandals in the city without causing any inconvenience to traffic and people. 

He said that setting up new pandals would help strengthen the spiritual connection among the youth, which he said was very important.
