Four more persons with a travel history to China voluntarily got themselves admitted to Fever Hospital on Friday. At present, there are six persons, five at Fever Hospital and one person at Gandhi Hospital, who fearing the novel strain of Coronavirus, visited Government hospitals in Hyderabad and are receiving treatment.

All the persons came to the hospitals with varying degrees of cold while a few of them had slightly elevated fever. None of the admitted persons have so far displayed typical nCoV symptoms including severe sore throat, upper respiratory distress and high fever for a long duration of time.

Overall, since the outbreak of the novel 2019-nCoV cases in the Wuhan province of China, 15 patients from Hyderabad with a travel history to China were admitted to Fever Hospital and Gandhi Hospital.

Out of 15 persons, the swab samples of nine persons have already tested negative while the results of the remaining swab samples of six patients are awaited from National Institute of Virology (NIV), Pune.
