Former India football captain Shabbir Ali honoured with national excellence award

Former India football captain Shabbir Ali has been honoured with the Well Care India Social Welfare Foundation national excellence award here on Sunday.

“This is in recognition of my services to Telangana football in particular and Indian football in general. I am truly indebted to the organisation and I take this opportunity to continue to serve the



game with the same commitment and passion,” Shabbir Ali said.

“My sincere thanks to Mr. Hamed Hussain, Medical Officer, and the entire Well Care team for this honour and recognition. Proud to serve football and contribute to society,” he said.

Dr. Jawad, Chairman, Germanten Hospital, who was the chief guest, presented the memento.
