With the movement of a tiger reported in the neighbouring Kamareddy district, forest officials in Medak have put residents of villages located close to the Kamareddy border on high alert.

A forest team led by Forest Range Officer (FRO) Vidya Sagar visited Naskal, Nandagokul, Chelmada and other villages in

the Ramayampet area on Tuesday and created awareness among farmers and local residents.

A tiger was spotted in Kamareddy district about five months ago, in July this year. Forest officials had then said that the animal had strayed into the district from the Mancherial forest area, but disappeared soon after.
