Football for Schools launched across Telangana

Telangana Football Association, under the banner of FIFA, All India Football Federation (AIFF), distributed footballs in 3171 schools across Telangana.

TFA Secretary G Palguna informed that the programme was part of the prestigious Football for Schools Programme.

“Through this initiative, 19,502 footballs were distributed to



promote grassroots football development and encourage sports participation among school children throughout the state,” he said.

“Further, 428 schools from three districts, Rangareddy, Vikarabad, and Medchal Malkajgiri, benefited through the distribution of 3,191 footballs at PM Shri Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Rangareddy on 14-02-2026,” a TFA official said.
