Folk dancer Madhuri allegedly attempts suicide in Hyderabad

Folk dancer Madhuri Rathod allegedly attempted suicide, with the incident coming to light on Sunday.

According to reports, she tried to hang herself from a ceiling fan at her residence. Family members reportedly broke open the room door, rescued her and shifted her to a private hospital, where she is currently undergoing



treatment.

Madhuri has alleged that folk dancer Eshwar Sai deceived her after promising to marry her. She reportedly claimed that despite lodging a complaint against him, no action was taken.

Madhuri is said to have been under severe mental distress over the issue, following which she allegedly attempted suicide.
