Minister for Animal Husbandry Talasani Srinivas Yadav said that while 4,75,781 families were given the assistance in cash, another 1.65 lakh people had applied for assistance through Mee Seva centres when the State Election Commission asked the government to suspend the distribution on Wednesday.

Addressing the media here, he said the opposition parties had done great injustice to the people whom the government was trying to provide some sort of relief in the shortest possible time. “As a political party, TRS has always maintained decorum and will not get

perturbed by the false propaganda unleashed by the opposition parties,” he said, and pointed out that States such as Tamil Nadu, Delhi and Odisha helped the State with donations, while the Centre remained silent.

“The BJP, which has been projecting itself as the strongest party, is admitting leaders from other political parties and offering them seats in GHMC polls. The TRS won 99 of the 150 seats it contested in the last election. This time, we will win 104 seats without any doubt,” he said.
