Fire Destroys 15 Acres Maize Crop in Mahbubabad

A fire destroyed about 15 acres of ready-to-harvest maize in Thallapoosapalli village of Kesamudram mandal in Mahbubabad district, affecting five farmers. 

Farmers alleged the fire was triggered by an electrical short circuit in overhead power lines passing through the fields, which spread



rapidly across dry crops. However, officials denied the farmers' allegations.

 Upon receiving information, the fire-fighters rushed to the spot and the flames were doused within an hour. The timely action taken by the fire-fighters prevented the flames from spreading to nearby fields.
