Father attempts to kill two challenged children in Karimnagar

In a heart-rending incident, a man allegedly attempted to kill his mentally and physically challenged children, leaving the daughter dead and the son undergoing treatment in hospital.

The incident occurred in Karimnagar town on Saturday evening.

According to police, a couple from Venkatraopet in Mancherial district, Anaveni Mallesham and Poshavva, migrated to Karimnagar seven years



ago and have been living in Vavilalapalli. 

They have two mentally and physically challenged children, Ashrith and Archana aged 15. Both were found unconscious when their mother, who had gone to the market, returned home in the evening.

She immediately shifted them to the district headquarters hospital, where Archana was declared brought dead and Ashrith is receiving treatment.
