Farmers stage protest during Prajavani in Bhupalpally 'Paddy Bonus'

Farmers staged a protest at the collectorate on Monday, demanding payment of the pending paddy bonus amount.

Around 70 farmers attended the Prajavani programme and entered into heated arguments with district Collector Rahul Sharma and other officials regarding the delay in the disbursement of the bonus



payment.

They staged a sit-in protest in front of the Collector as a mark of protest. Even as the police intervened and attempted to escort them out, the farmers refused to call off their protest. 

They complained that the paddy bonus was yet to be paid to nearly 2,000 farmers in Kataram and Malhar mandals of the district.
