The struggles of farmers to buy urea continue in Siddipet district. Acting on information that a fresh stock had arrived at a Primary Agricultural Cooperative Society (PACS) in Dubbak, several farmers reached the outlet after dinner on Sunday and slept there through the night.

They left slippers, bags and other belongings in the queue to mark their places

and spread bedsheets on the floor. Some even brought their children along as there was no one to look after them at home.

A similar scene unfolded across the erstwhile Medak district, where farmers turned up as early as 5 am at outlets to secure just a single bag of urea. They accused the government of ignoring their plight and failing to address the crisis.
