Braving intermittent rains, farmers continued to wait in long queues for urea in the district on Thursday.
From as early as 5 am, men and women gathered at the Primary Agricultural Cooperative Society (PACS) office in the town, standing in serpentine lines in the hope of securing
fertiliser.
Despite enduring long hours in the rain, farmers complained that urea was not being supplied due to inadequate stocks.
“We have left our work in the fields and have been standing here since morning, but there is still no guarantee of getting urea,” they said.
