Despite the Congress government’s claims of fresh urea stocks reaching the State, farmers continue to stage protests while long queues are seen at Primary Agriculture Cooperative Society (PACS) outlets and other centres across districts.

The situation is particularly severe in Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s Kodangal constituency, where farmers were seen standing in long queues at the PACS office in Kosgi on Monday.

In Narayanpet district,

farmers lined up at the PACS in Maddur from Sunday midnight onwards, waiting for urea. Officials, in the presence of local police, distributed tokens to avoid any untoward incidents.

Similar scenes were witnessed at the PACS in Tileru, Marikal mandal, where women farmers said they had been waiting with their children since Sunday midnight. “We have been waiting since Sunday night without any food and water. Our children are also starving since last night,” they complained.
