Two young women were cheated by a fraudster who collected gold and cash with the false promise of marriage in Tekmal police station limits.

 According to police, in the first instance, the conman had identified himself as Ritvik Reddy, a trainee IPS officer and promised to marry her after completion of his training. 

Later he sought Rs five lakh in cash and ten grams of gold claimng that he had some expenses to bear. He asked her to hand over the gold and money to one Uppari Durgesh Sagar (who the woman believes was the conman himself). She handed ove the cash and gold



to Durgesh.

In the second case, the conman introduced himself as Satwik reddy to anotehr 17 year old woman from Eklaspur village, claiming that he was an MBBS graduate. 

Assuring her to to marry after a few days of chatting, he sought some financial help from her to complete his education. He accepted Rs 7 lakh in cash and one tola gold from her.

Both the women approached the Tekmal police after realising that they were cheated. Police are trying to identify the man and also finding out whether he had employed similar modus operandi to cheat other women.
