Khanapur police of Nirmal district on Wednesday registered a case against former MLA Ajmeera Rekha Naik, who is the owner of a rice mill titled ARS Industries, under sections 316 (2), 316 (5) , 318 ( 4) BNS and section 7 of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955, following a complaint lodged by Satyanarayana, Nirmal District Manager of Telangana State Civil Supplies Corporation. 

The rice mill is located in Sattenapally village of Khanapur mandal. The case



has been booked against ARS Industries for misappropriation of paddy worth Rs 40.96 crore supplied by the state government. 

The complaint stated that during verification, officials of the Civil Supplies Corporation noticed that government paddy entrusted to the rice mill is not available on its premises. 

Further, the required customs milled rice has also not been delivered to the government for three seasons.
