Stating that the ration dealers should not forget that they were doing social service, Weights & Measures Department Controller Akun Sabarwal has said every problem will get a solution through the discussions.

It may be mentioned here that the ration dealers had planned to go on strike from July 1 demanding that the State government give minimum wage to them. Stating that they were accumulating losses due to the introduction of Bio Metric system, the ration dealers have made it clear that they will not fill the July month DDs. The government was issuing new ration cards, he said and suggested to people to be aware of fraud they face in weights and measures. He said that the Consumer Forum imposed a fine of Rs.2 lakh on a scanning centre as it caused



severe mental agony to an infant and the family due to wrong measurement. 
The department has extended two lakh cheque to the victim family on Thursday.

Akun Sabarwal said they imposed Rs 12 crore fine on shopping malls and multi-flexes in flash raids in the Hyderabad city. He said that the Consumer Service Centre was always ready to alert the people to see that they do not subjected to cheating in goods and services. He said that every businessman has the responsibility of providing total details of the goods and services they extend. He said that the consumers have to lodge their complaints calling 180042500333 toll free number or facebook or twitter. He warned saying that they will not leave the persons who they might be if found guilty.
