The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has moved the Telangana High Court for a speedy, day-to-day trial and the personal appearance of all the accused in prosecution complaints filed by it under the provisions of the PMLA against former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and others.

In the petition, the ED urged the High Court to resolve the matter at the earliest possible.

The ED investigation began based on an FIR registered by the CBI against the YSR Congress president and 73 others over alleged quid pro quo investments

in his companies.

The case has not been proceeding as the discharge petitions are not getting resolved in the CBI court, the ED said.

The Enforcement Directorate also urged the court to consider financial crimes as a threat to the nation's economic health and resolve Jagan's case at a faster pace.

The court ordered that the ED petition should be combined with that Harirama Jogaiah and others.

All the petitions would come up for hearing on October 13, the court said.
