Former Minister Eatala Rajender left for New Delhi on Sunday reportedly to hold talks with senior BJP leaders before joining the party officially. A photograph of Rajender proceeding to Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) was circulated on various social media platforms. The former Minister left for New Delhi hours after his wife Jamuna addressed a press conference at her residence in Shamirpet.

Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs G Kishan Reddy and other leaders might accompany Rajender to meet senior party leaders. Sources said Rajender would

first meet BJP national president JP Nadda before meeting Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

Rajender decided to join the BJP after he met with Sanjay and other leaders at a farmhouse on the city suburbs a few days ago.

During the meeting, the BJP leaders reportedly assured Rajender that the party would utilise his services on all fronts apart from giving recognition. After he was dismissed from the State Cabinet, Rajender reportedly consulted several senior leaders from other parties and intellectuals before taking a decision on his political future.
