In a major crackdown on campus drug networks, the EAGLE Telangana Task Force busted an interstate narcotics racket operating near Mahindra University and arrested four persons on Tuesday.
Officials seized 1.15 kg of marijuana, 47 grams of OG weed, packaging material, weighing machines and other incriminating items.
The arrested suspects were identified as Nevelle Tongbram (21), Ambati Ganesh (24), B Shiva Kumar (26) and Mohd
Ashar Jawed Khan (21). While Nevelle and Ashar managed supplies inside the university, Ganesh and Shiva Kumar handled bulk procurement and distribution in Hyderabad.
The arrests followed an investigation into the Malnadu Restaurant drug case, in which courier parcels booked through Sree Maruti Couriers were allegedly found to be carrying narcotics. Officials traced the consignments to university students in Hyderabad, exposing a structured supply chain.
