The EAGLE Force team of the Telangana police caught five persons who were part of a ganja transportation and sale syndicate and seized 200 kilograms of dry ganja worth Rs 1 crore from them.
The arrested are Amol Nanoba Gore (35), a resident of Latur, Maharashtra, Laxman Nagnath Kare (26), of Latur, Vasantha Jadhav (40) of Kamareddy district, Shaik Ansar (32) of Kamareddy district and Shaik Rahmath, of Kamareddy district. Two others – Prabhu of Udgir and Devi Singh, of Odisha, are absconding.

Shandilya, Director, EAGLE team, said that on information about Ansar befriending youth in Kamareddy and making them addicted to ganja, the police kept watch on him.
After thorough surveillance, it was found that Ansar was working for a drug syndicate that was earlier arrested. “Based on information, a tab was kept on him, and he was caught in Khammam, along with Rahmath, while they were transporting 200 kilograms of ganja from Odisha to Udgir in Maharashtra in the car at the instance of Vasantha and others,” said Director EAGLE Force, Sandeep Shandilya.
