The district police launched mobile hospital-ambulance services for adivasis in remote Pusuguppa village in Cherla mandal on the Telangana-Chhattisgarh borders on Friday.

Bhadrachalam MLA T Venkat Rao, district Collector Jitesh V Patil and Superintendent of Police B Rohith Raju inaugurated the facility developed at a cost of Rs 1 crore, released through Special Central Assistance funds.

Speaking on the occasion, MLA

Venkat Rao lauded the SP and district police for making efforts for the welfare of the tribal people living in Maoist-affected areas of Cherla mandal. Adivasis in Pusuguppa and surrounding areas should make use of the hospital, he said.

A road from Pusuguppa to Cherla, recently laid by the police, was greatly helpful to the residents of Pusuguppa and surrounding villages to go to Bhadrachalam and Kothagudem towns in case of medical emergency.
