The Telangana Integrated Command and Control Centre (TGiCCC), Banjara Hills, said the temporary DIAL-112 Emergency Response Call Centre set up at Medaram Jatara handled over 500 emergency calls during the festival.

The facility was established to ensure swift emergency response and public safety during the Medaram Jatara, regarded as Asia’s largest tribal

festival. The temporary call centre operated from January 18 to 31 and was equipped with two dispatch desks functioning round the clock in four shifts.

All emergency calls related to the Jatara were routed to the dedicated desk to ensure faster handling and focused coordination. Each incident was promptly registered and dispatched to the nearest response vehicle.
