Director General of Police B Shivadhar Reddy on Friday inaugurated the new Bharosa Centre at Shamshabad under the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate.

Aimed at providing comprehensive support to women and children in distress, the centre, staffed by trained women personnel, will extend services such as legal aid, medical assistance, psychological counselling, and government

compensation to victims, especially those under the POCSO Act. It will cater to 17 police station limits across the Rajendranagar and Shamshabad zones.

Speaking at the inauguration, Shivadhar Reddy described Bharosa Centres as one-stop crisis support systems ensuring justice, protection, and emotional care. He announced that similar centres would soon be set up across all districts in Telangana.
