Deputy Commissioner of Police (Kukatpally) Ritiraj has been asked to supervise the investigation of the POCSO case registered against Sai Bageerath, son of Union Minister Bandi Sanjay, at Petbasheerabad police station.

Cyberabad Commissioner of Police M Ramesh issued orders asking the IPS officer to supervise the investigation and submit a daily report on the progress of the probe.

Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has directed DGP CV Anand to conduct a thorough inquiry into the case following which, Ritiraj has



been asked to probe the case.

The victim, a 17-year-old girl, along with her parents had approached the police alleging that Sai Bageerath had behaved inappropriately during a party at a farm house in Moinabad on New Year’s eve. She also alleged of inappropriate behaviour by Bageerath on other instances.

Another case was booked against the victim and her parents at a police station in Karimnagar following a complaint by Sai Bageerath, who alleged the victim’s family demanded Rs 5 crore and were blackmailing him.
