DCA Raids Quack’s Clinic in Khammam, Seizes Illegally Stocked Drugs

Telangana Drugs Control Administration (DCA) officials raided a quack’s clinic in Burda Raghavapuram Village, Enkoor Mandal in Khammam district, and seized drugs illegally stocked for sale. 

On credible information, the DCA officials raided the premises of a quack Shaik Ameer, who was conducting clinical practice without proper qualifications at his clinic.

During the raid, DCA officials



detected 11 varieties of medicines which were illegally stocked at the premises. The total worth of the stock seized is approximately Rs.10,000. The officials detected several ‘antibiotics’ at the clinic during the raid. 

The indiscriminate sale of antibiotics by unqualified persons may have disastrous consequences on the health of public, including the emergence of ‘Antimicrobial Resistance’.
