Cricket betting racket busted in Malakpet

Hyderabad: The Commissioner’s Task Force (East) team has arrested three persons on charge of betting on IPL matches and seized a laptop, three mobile phones and Rs 74,000.

Acting on a tip off, the team raided a lodge at Malakpet where suspects Sonu Agarwal (29) of Saroornagar, Singhal Vaibhav Agarwal (26) and Sandeep Singh (29) of Mangalhat had rented a room and were



operating from there.

“The gang were accepting bets from known customers through mobile phones on the Gujarat Lions and Kolkata Knight Riders match when they were caught,” said Inspector Task Force (East) team S Mohan Kumar.

The suspects along with the seized property were handed over to the Malakpet police station for further action.
