Six more persons have tested positive for the novel coronavirus in Hyderabad on Monday, taking the overall number of Covid-19 positive cases to 33 in Telangana.

Out of the six positive cases, five persons are from Hyderabad with a travel history of return from foreign countries while the sixth patient, a 23-year-old man from Karimnagar, had no travel history but was a close contact of the Indonesian group of ten coronavirus positive persons.

“This is the second time in Telangana when a local person has tested positive for coronavirus despite no travel history. There could be many more in the near future. That’s the reason why, we are insisting on lock down and people not venturing out,” said Health Minister, Eatala Rajender.
