Couple cheated by middlemen on pretext of job in SCCL, ends life

A couple who attempted suicide by consuming pesticide after being cheated by some persons in the pretext of offering a job in SCCL died undergoing treatment at Hyderabad on Tuesday.

The deceased Ratna Kumar, who completed graduation and his wife Parvathi, who completed B Ed tried for government jobs in the past but could



not succeed.

They belong to Sairam thanda in Julurpad mandal in the district and were working in a shopping mall in Kothagudem.

According to family members one of the colleagues of Ratna Kumar told him that he could get a dependent job in SCCL by paying Rs 16 lakh and introduced him to two middlemen.
