Corrective Measures Underway to Strengthen Monsoon Preparedness in Cyberabad

Cyberabad Municipal Corporation's Engineering and Monsoon Emergency Teams are carrying out corrective measures at identified and newly observed water stagnation locations across the city. 

The action follows after motorists faced several problems because of water-logged drains due to heavy rain that lashed the city on Tuesday evening. It was the traffic police who physically tried to clear the water from the drain and pave the way for motorists to reach their destinations safely.

Nagar, works are underway to remove the iron grill at the water stagnation point to improve stormwater flow. At Vittal Rao Nagar, removal of the existing grating is in progress to facilitate quicker drainage during heavy rainfall events. 

At Khajaguda Lake, nala widening works are being taken up to improve carrying capacity and enhance the flow of stormwater. Meanwhile, at the water stagnation point opposite CARE Hospital, teams are engaged in clearing plastic waste and other obstructions to ensure the free flow of rainwater.
