Container lorry crashes into hotel in Suryapet

A container lorry travelling from Kodad to Miryalaguda suddenly went off the road at Indira Chowk in Huzurnagar, Surapet and crashed into a roadside hotel on Saturday. People inside the hotel ran to safety on seeing the lorry heading towards them, averting a major tragedy.

No injuries



were reported as the surroundings of the hotel were almost empty at the time of the crash. Police reached the spot, diverted traffic and towed the vehicle from the location.

Residents have demanded road widening and installation of traffic signals to curb recurring mishaps at the junction.
