Hyderabad: The Telangana Congress Legislature Party on Tuesday decided to organise Chalo Assembly rally on October 27, the first day of Assembly and Council session.

Addressing a press conference after the CLP meeting in Assembly premises, TPCC President Capt. N. Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the CLP had a long discussion on various issues. He said agriculture sector remained totally neglected during the TRS regime.

He said crop loan waiver scheme was not implemented properly and no other issues pertaining to agriculture sector were addressed. He asked as to how ‘Bangaru Telangana’ could be formed with thousands of farmers are committing suicide.

He said that the TRS Government did not paid compensation to even one family of a farmer who committed suicide. He said farmers were not Minimum Support Price (MSP) for their produce.

He also alleged that not a



single promise made on the floor of Assembly and Council by Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao has been fulfilled.

Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the Congress party would organise ‘Chalo Assembly’ rally on October 27 in which thousands of Congress workers and farmers would participated.

The TPCC Chief also demanded that the farmers who lost crops in recent rains should be paid compensation. Strongly condemning the silence of the Chief Minister and other ministers on the crop losses, he demanded that compensation of Rs. 20,000 per acre be paid to the cotton farmers.

Similarly, Rs. 15,000 per acre should be paid to those who lost maize crops.

CLP leader K. Jana Reddy, Leader of Opposition in Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir, MLAs Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Dr. J. Geetha Reddy and G. Chinna Reddy and MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy were also spoke.
