The Congress high command is learnt to have taken a serious view of the affairs in the Telangana Congress, particularly the growing criticism of the State government, the lack of coordination among Ministers, MLAs and DCC presidents, and rising dissent within the party.
AICC General Secretary KC Venugopal held a meeting with Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, AICC in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan, TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud and a few other senior leaders from the State.
During
the nearly two-hour meeting, the AICC discussed several issues, with a special focus on the Congress government completing two-and-a-half years in office in Telangana. Before the meeting, AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge is believed to have spoken to the Telangana leaders.
The high command reportedly discussed the lack of coordination among Ministers and indiscipline among some MLAs. It is also learnt to have expressed concern over individuals pursuing personal agendas instead of the party’s interests.
