Congress High Command asks Konda Surekha to Resign as Minister

The Congress high command asked the Endowments Minister Konda Surekha to resign as the Minister. Plans have also been chalked out to dismiss her if she failed to resign.
The action followed after the TPCC disciplinary committee has recommended stringent action against Surekha in connection with
“anti-Chief Minister” and “anti-Congress” remarks made by her daughter.

The committee recommended the removal of Surekha from the Cabinet. The committee, headed by Chairman Mallu Ravi, submitted its report to TPCC president B. Mahesh Kumar Goud on Tuesday with the recommendations.
