Stating that he shared a special relationship with BJP State president and Union Minister G Kishan Reddy, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy said Telangana could progress rapidly if both of them worked together for the State’s development.
There had been instances where Kishan Reddy was questioned in the interest of the State. The Chief Minister said he would continue to prioritise Telangana’s growth above politics. He was speaking after formally launching Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya’s autobiography, ‘Prajala Kathe Na Atma Katha’, here on Sunday.
Addressing the gathering
on the occasion, he said the absence of leaders such as Bandaru Dattatreya and former CLP leader P Janardhan Reddy was being felt in Greater Hyderabad. In the past, people had confidence that their grievances would be addressed by approaching these leaders. At present, he remarked, such accessible leadership was missing in the city.
The Chief Minister also said leaders across party lines held the Haryana Governor in high regard. He noted that Dattatreya’s annual Alai Balai programme was one such occasion where politicians from different parties would meet and share lighter moments beyond political boundaries.
