Former Khammam MP Nama Nageswara Rao stated that the Congress party came to power by making false and deceptive promises.
He, along with CPI (M) leaders Pothineni Sudarshan, Bhagam Hemantha Rao and former MLA Chandravathi, conducted extensive campaigning for the victory of BRS and CPI (M) candidates in Wyra Municipality on Friday.
Addressing the voters, he said that Congress leaders deceived the people by giving six impractical guarantees before
the Assembly elections, but have not yet implemented promises such as giving Rs.2500 per month to every woman, Rs.4000 in pensions and Rs.6000 to persons with disabilities.
Nageswara Rao reminded that Telugu Desam Party founder late NT Rama Rao founded the party to fight against the autocratic attitude of the Congress party and that TDP cadres should remember this. He expressed happiness that TDP cadres were joining hands with the BRS in many places in the municipal elections.
