Leaders from other political parties are joining the ruling TRS for only development and welfare of the state, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has said.

KCR welcomed Errabelli Dayakar Rao of Telugu Desam into the TRS fold by offering him traditional pink shawl at the Telangana Bavan here. Though he already joined the TRS at camp office,  the meeting was arranged to appease him at the TRS Bhavan to welcome Dayakar and his followers from Palakurthy segment officially. The Chief Minister announced sops of Rs 300 crore for Warangal and irrigation waters for two crops a year as is the case with East and West Godavari districts. On completion of Kaleshwaram project,  Warangal will get waters for two crops,  he vowed.




style="font-size:13pt">            On the occasion, the chief minister said that Dayakar’s joining the TRS should not be seen in a political angle. Leaders joining the TRS should be seen as unification of Telangana political forces for transforming the state into a golden Telangana. Getting nostalgic of sorts, he said that the TRS came into existence in 2001 and achieved statehood which is history now. Injustice was  meted out to the region for decades due to negligence and deliberate attempts by successive governments, he said. However, this is the right time for putting in combined efforts for offering fruits of development to the poor and needy class, KCR stated. Else, it is of no use of getting statehood which is meant for providing facilities, addressing problems and protection to all, he remarked. The people reposed faith on the TRS and all its leaders should work for a single cause of development that goes hand in hand with welfare, the chief minister maintained
