Amid rising objections from residents over the proposed takeover of their properties for the Musi Rejuvenation project, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy once again appealed to them to cooperate with the government in executing the project.

“With a big heart, support the Musi project in transforming our city into a global city. The government will provide all support and cover the losses suffered,” he said at the Independence Day celebrations here on Saturday.

The Chief Minister said Musi rejuvenation

was the only solution for the city. If the project was not taken up, Hyderabad would become a less liveable city. Considering these factors, the State government was seeking residents’ support, he said.

The State government had succeeded in creating confidence in Telangana among national and international industrialists and investors. Telangana had emerged as a Top Achiever in the Business Reforms Action Plan across sectors such as business entry, construction permit enablers, the service sector and land administration, he said.
