Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Wednesday said the establishment of an Amazon data centre will act as a major catalyst for investments and industrial growth in the proposed ‘Future City’.

Speaking at the foundation stone-laying ceremony, the Chief Minister said the project would boost investor confidence and attract more global companies to the state.

He recalled that the Telangana Rising Global Summit

held in December 2025 saw participation from over 3,000 corporate representatives from 108 countries, including Fortune 500 companies.

Revanth Reddy outlined the state’s long-term economic vision, stating that Telangana aims to become a $1 trillion economy by 2034 and a $3 trillion economy by 2047 under the “Telangana Rising-2047” initiative. He added that the state is working to increase its contribution to India’s GDP from the current 5% to 10%.
