The Telangana government will begin releasing Rythu Bharosa funds to farmers on June 30, with Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy launching the disbursal at a public meeting to be held in Madhira, Khammam district.
The decision was taken at a Cabinet meeting chaired by CM Revanth Reddy at the Secretariat on Thursday. The government will credit the funds directly to farmers’ bank accounts over ten
days.
Several other important issues, including the Metro rail phase 2 works and paddy procurement, were discussed in the special meeting convened with the Cabinet Ministers
Under Rythu Bharosa, the state provides financial assistance of Rs 12,000 per acre per year. The amount is split between the two crop seasons, where Rs 6,000 per acre each for Kharif and Rabi are transferred directly to farmers.
