BRS working president KT Rama Rao accused Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy of adopting double standards and questioned why the Congress, particularly the Chief Minister, was uncomfortable with the BRS taking on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP-led Central government.

“I fail to understand why the Youth Congress obstructed my car when I was extending solidarity to youngsters protesting against the Central government,” Rama Rao said while participating in a BRSV protest against the alleged assault on

students in New Delhi.

Referring to Rahul Gandhi’s protest near the Prime Minister’s residence, Rama Rao said the Chief Minister was in Kodangal instead of joining the agitation.

Taking a jibe at Revanth Reddy, he said the “Nallamalla cat” chose to remain in Kodangal while Rahul Gandhi led the protest.

He said TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud had at least staged a protest in front of Lok Bhavan, but alleged that the Chief Minister stayed away from Delhi.
