Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Thursday hit out at opposition BRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao for not responding to the issue of the POCSO case against the son of Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar.
Taking a swipe at Sanjay Kumar over his comments that he asked his son to cooperate with the police, he said, had it been a voluntary surrender before the police, the Union minister should have called the police to take his son into custody.
The Chief Minister said he believes the state
police, who announced that they arrested Sanjay Kumar's son Bageerath during a 'nakabandi' (police checkpoint). "When injustice happened to a minor girl (in the POCSO case), where is the Leader of Opposition (Chandrasekhar Rao) sleeping? If he does not have the capacity to come out and speak, he should at least issue a press release.
He will go to Jagtial to admit a leader from another party into BRS. But, such a major incident happens in the state, and the main opposition leader does not even respond," Reddy told reporters here.
