CM Revanth Reddy Seeks Delimitation Based on 2026 Census

Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy said that the Congress was the first party that gave reservations for women in politics. 

Addressing a press conference, he said the NDA government was planning to carry out the delimitation process according to the 2011 census. 

However, the Congress demanded that the delimitation and women reservation be implemented as per the 2026 census. Combining two of them and going ahead with the process based on the old population census was nothing but a conspiracy. 

Stating that the



Congress was supporting 33 percent reservation for women, he demanded that the Centre implement these reservations in six months.

“The delimitation process is heading in a very dangerous direction. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is trying to render injustice to the smaller states and the South. 

The southern states have effectively implemented family control. Due to lack of proper implementation in the north, the population has increased. The southern States categorically informed that the number of seats must not be increased based on population.
