BRS MLC Dasoju Sravan launched a blistering attack on Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on the eve of Telangana Formation Day, charging him with betraying the State that was achieved through decades of struggle and sacrifice. He said Revanth Reddy, who never took part of the struggle, had no respect for it and had never uttered ‘Jai Telangana’.

Speaking to mediapersons at Telangana Bhavan, Sravan said the party will hold State-wide celebrations on Monday, marking the Telangana State Formation Day. Party working president KT Rama Rao will participate in the Formation Day celebrations to be held along with the BRS silver jubilee event in Dallas, Texas.

“Telangana won its statehood after years of struggle. After suppression of the movement on multiple occasions, BRS president K Chandrashekhar Rao launched his fight for the statehood and achieved it. But leaders like Revanth Reddy worked with a

slave mentality during the movement,” he said.

The BRS leader criticised Revanth Reddy for damaging the Congress and ascending to power through corrupt means. He warned that Telangana, built by struggle, has now fallen to the corrupt and anti-farmer government of the Congress.

“Revanth Reddy ruined Telangana, which was an economically surplus State, within just 18 months,” he said, slamming the government for halting Dalit Bandhu, shelving Kaleshwaram project, and weakening local governance.

Sravan also ridiculed the Chief Minister’s priorities. “He has time for beauty pageants, but not for farmers,” he said.

He demanded that the government release the Milli Maggi investigation report. He felt that Revanth Reddy is the only Chief Minister to rule the State from police stations, citing review meetings at the Police Command and Control Centre.
