Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Saturday said feedback from citizens strengthens the government’s resolve to expand welfare initiatives, after a Hyderabad-based ride-hailing bike rider praised the Indiramma Canteen scheme.
The rider, who had a meal at an Indiramma Canteen in Koti, shared that he received six idlis for just Rs 10, noting that the scheme is helping daily wage workers,
auto drivers and labourers meet their basic food needs. His message, thanking the state government, gained traction on social media.
Responding to the post, the Chief Minister said he felt satisfied by the appreciation from a working-class citizen he had never met. He reiterated that the concept of Indiramma Canteens was born out of the commitment to ensure that no poor person goes hungry in the state.
