Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has been forced to cancel his visit to the United States of America (USA) after the Ministry of External Affairs denied permission, citing “Clearance from political angle is denied”.
The Chief Minister is currently in London and is now scheduled to return to Hyderabad on August 23. He was to visit New York from Boston on August 23 and participate in the Indian Overseas
Congress meet and greet. After the meeting, he was scheduled to arrive in Hyderabad on August 30.
However, his tour has now been cut short. The State Government had sought Central permission for the trip to the UK and USA, as per policy and protocol, but only the UK trip was approved. The Centre informed the State Government of its refusal to grant permission after the official delegation reached the UK.
